Presentation

The General Directorate of Digital Services and Citizen Experience (DGSEC) is the unit responsible for promoting web accessibility in the Generalitat and has organized this session, together with the School of Public Administration of Catalonia, with the aim of sharing knowledge and experiences in this field. In addition, it ensures awareness of digital inclusion and promotes spaces for the exchange of knowledge and experiences on this discipline.

May 16 is World Web Accessibility Awareness Day and take advantage of this opportunity to bring together researchers, professionals and specialists in the field to explain what regulatory and technological developments there are and what the future lines of work are.

Objectives

Get a clear view of what’s new in accessibility and what remains to be achieved.

Be clear that it is necessary to end the segmentation still present in digital development. Accessibility not as a part but as a whole.

Break with the stigma of accessibility as a boring and difficult obligation.

Learn about new technologies: our allies (metaverse, AI, etc.).

Recipients

Staff of the central and territorial services of the departments of the Generalitat de Catalunya and of the bodies and entities of its institutional public sector who need to expand their knowledge on this subject.
