iDEM at Costraphil Convention on Court Stenography in Tagaytay

From May 21 to 23, iDEM partner Carlo Eugeni was invited to the Costraphil Convention on Court Stenography in Tagaytay. As part of an upcoming five-year reform of the judicial system, 1,500 stenographers gathered to understand their role within the new framework envisioned for the Philippine judiciary. In this context, Carlo Eugeni was invited to visit the premises of various courts in the Philippines, and then to deliver a 90-minute keynote speech on current and emerging trends in speech-to-text technologies and practices.
Carlo’s talk focused on the Universal Report and covered areas such as universal design, multimodality, and accessibility for individuals with sensory and intellectual disabilities.
